How have you grown during your career?
I think one of the things I have had to do at Leslie Coffee Co., that I never really did in other jobs, was let go of control and really let go of the idea of perfection. I feel like I've been in the weeds since day one, and I'm constantly reminding myself to give myself grace.

What do you love most about your work?
I love the people: my employees, vendors, customers and community members. They fill the coffee shop with such life. I'm glad that so many people feel like Leslie Coffee Co. is a place where they belong. And it's a place I finally feel like I belong, too.

What are your strengths and why?
I think my biggest strength is my big heart. It makes me courageous and generous. I'm not sure if I can explain why. You either get it, or you don't.

What music artist do you never get tired of?
Explosions in the Sky

What is your most used emoji?
The sparkly heart

What is one piece of advice that has served you well in your journey and who did you get it from?
Maybe the first week we were open, a woman came in with her family and they had run a small cafe for many years. I was talking about all the things I already noticed should be different or what people had commented on and she told me that at the end of the day, whatever you do, you have to do it for yourself because you are the one who has to live it everyday.

What are you grateful for?
I'm grateful for my son. Being a mom is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
