Illuminations Nominated for USA Today’s 10Best

Botanica’s Illuminations event has been nominated for USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for 2023. Wichita’s beloved annual light show was nominated under the Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights category. Last year, Illuminations placed 8th in this category! The travel experts at USA Today have selected twenty nominees and it’s now up to the public to select the best botanical garden holiday light displays and events in the country. The top ten events will be announced on Friday, December 1, 2023.

“We’re very honored to be nominated again for this award,” said Dawn Hewitt, Executive Director. “This family-friendly event has been a tradition in the Wichita community for many years and as Botanica’s largest fundraiser, the proceeds from the light show support the gardens for the rest of the year.”
